Amit Cahanovich

Amit Cahanovich is an Israeli data professional, independent consultant, husband, and father of three. His work spans Israel and international projects, including engagements with organizations in North America and the Gulf.

A descendant of early Zionist pioneers, Cahanovich has no other citizenship or national home; his relationship to Israel is both personal and generational. His first-person writing about his detention and the political climate in Israel has been published by The Forward and Haaretz.

During his 2025 detention following a hostages demonstration, he kept the prison diary that became KATLOT: Diary of a Schmatta Revolutionary, his debut stage project. The material has already received strong early responses from Israeli writers Motti Lerner and Benny Barabash, who identified its dramatic potential and its ability to reach beyond the particulars of Cahanovich's own case.
